Current Openings
1. Outdoor Content Writer (Remote)
What you’ll do:
- Research and write detailed, engaging articles about hunting seasons, fishing regulations, camping guides, and trail reviews.
- Keep info accurate and up to date for each U.S. state.
- Bring a conversational, approachable voice to outdoor content.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong writing skills with a knack for storytelling.
- Familiarity with hunting, fishing, camping, or hiking.
- Ability to research state-specific outdoor laws and seasons.
2. Social Media & Community Manager
What you’ll do:
- Manage our social channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.).
- Share content, engage with followers, and spark conversations about the outdoors.
- Highlight community stories, photos, and tips.
What we’re looking for:
- Creative thinker with strong communication skills.
- Experience growing and managing online communities.
- Bonus points if you love posting pictures of your own outdoor adventures.
3. Outdoor Research Intern
What you’ll do:
- Assist in gathering data on state hunting and fishing seasons.
- Help fact-check articles and trail information.
- Support the content team with new ideas and research.
What we’re looking for:
- College student or recent grad with interest in wildlife, recreation, or environmental studies.
- Detail-oriented and eager to learn.
- Comfortable working online with spreadsheets, research tools, and databases.
4. Partnerships & Outreach Coordinator
What you’ll do:
- Build relationships with local outdoor organizations, trail associations, and gear companies.
- Identify opportunities for collaborations and sponsorships.
- Help grow StateOutdoors.org as a trusted outdoor hub.
What we’re looking for:
- Great communication and networking skills.
- A passion for connecting people and organizations.
- Experience in outreach, PR, or partnerships a plus.
